Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions and answers

Why a Sauna Tent?

Is a sauna tent as hot as a traditional sauna or trailer?

Yes! Our sauna tent reaches the same temperatures as a wood sauna or trailer (often 170–200°F). With proper ventilation and wood burning sauna stoves, you get the full authentic heat and steam experience.

Why use a tent instead of a trailer?

Flexibility, privacy and affordability. A tent can pop up anywhere—festivals, marinas, parks, or even your backyard. We can set it up in areas that maximize your view and your privacy. It allows us to bring sauna to more places than a heavy trailer ever could. Our rental prices make sauna more accessible!

Do I have to do the cold plunge?

Not at all! The cold plunge is an optional add on! However, alternating between hot and cold can enhance recovery, boost circulation, and leave you feeling incredibly refreshed.

How many people can fit inside the sauna?

Our sauna tents comfortably seat up to 6 people at a time, depending on how cozy you want to get.

How long should I stay in the sauna at a time?

Most people enjoy 10–15 minutes per round, followed by a cool-down or plunge. You can repeat the cycle as many times as you’d like during your session.

Is it safe for beginners or people who’ve never done sauna before?

Absolutely. We’ll walk you through how to use the sauna safely and comfortably. Listen to your body — if you feel lightheaded or uncomfortable, step out and cool down.

Are there any age restrictions?

The rental agreement expressly prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from using the sauna.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. We use guarded stoves, reinforced benches, ventilation, and safety signage. The design makes it just as safe as a permanent sauna while still being portable.

Is this a “real” sauna?

Yes. Saunas come in many forms—cabins, trailers, yurts, and tents. In fact, nomadic cultures in Northern Europe used tents as their first saunas. You’re experiencing sauna in one of its most traditional, authentic forms.

Health & Safety

Are there any health conditions that make sauna use unsafe?

Yes. People with unstable heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or certain other medical issues should check with their doctor before using a sauna.

Is sauna use safe during pregnancy?

It’s best to avoid high-heat environments during pregnancy unless approved by your healthcare provider.

How does sauna benefit recovery after exercise or a race?

Sauna heat increases blood flow, reduces inflammation, and helps flush out metabolic waste, while the cold plunge can reduce swelling and muscle soreness. Together, they support faster recovery.

Do you clean and sanitize the plunge pool between uses?

Yes. We drain, clean, and refill the plunge pool for every booking, and we use fresh, clean water for your event.

Yes, we can drop it off at your house or apartment and you can use it where you wish as long as you follow local regulations. We love setting up our personal sauna on the beach on the off season!

How do I order a cold plunge

It is an add on item when you rent a sauna.

Should I order the cold plunge tub only or add the chiller?

If you don’t want to deal with the hassle and expense of getting ice and you are planning on doing a cold plunge several times over a few days, the chiller is your best bet. It also includes a filter and ozone sanitizer!
